In my practice, I work primarily with adults and specialize in the areas of anxiety, depression, perfectionism, relationships, and life transitions.
I am passionate about working with college students and have extensive experience with the unique challenges students face after spending six years as a psychologist at the Florida State University Counseling Center.
My approach to therapy is rooted in positive psychology which views individual strengths and resilience as fundamental causes of change. My goal is to help people reach their fullest potential and truly thrive, not just reduce or eliminate the problems that led them to seek counseling. I also incorporate aspects of cognitive behavioral therapy and other evidence-based treatments into my work in order to meet the individual needs of my clients.
In addition to working with clients and providing workshops and trainings to the Tallahassee community, I am honored to have served on the Florida Board of Psychology for eight years where I had the opportunity to oversee, promote, and protect the practice of psychology across the state. I also currently serve on the Board of Trustees at Holy Comforter Episcopal School.
In my free time, you can find me scoping out playgrounds and parks around town with my husband and two daughters, spending time at the beach, and exercising with friends for my own self-care.
